Hinged double doors · Dubai
Aluminium French doors
A pair of hinged glazed doors that open outwards or inwards from the centre. For openings up to roughly two door widths, French doors are simpler and less costly than folding or sliding systems and open fully.
When French doors are the right choice
- Openings of one to two door widths, such as bedrooms onto balconies and small terraces
- Where a full clear opening is wanted without the stack space of a folding door
- As a traffic door within a run of fixed glazing
Options
Glazing follows the same rules as our other doors: tempered as a minimum, laminated for security and noise, double glazed with a low-emissivity coating for sun-facing rooms. Frames are powder-coated aluminium; thermal-break profiles are available on selected systems. One leaf can be the main door with the second held by flush bolts, or both can open freely. Fly screens can be added outside the leaves on inward-opening doors.
Cost depends on size, glass build-up, thermal break, finish and hardware.
FAQ
Common questions
What affects the price of a folding or sliding door?
Size, number of panels, the system (standard or slim, thermal break or not), the glass build-up, the finish, the threshold type, access to the site and removal of existing doors. See the cost-factor guides for each product. We do not publish fixed prices per square metre because the same opening can be done in several ways.
How do I get a quotation?
Send us the opening size (even approximate), the location and a photo if you have one, by form, phone or WhatsApp. We reply within one working day and arrange a site measurement in Dubai before issuing a written quotation.
How much maintenance do aluminium doors need?
Little, provided the tracks are kept free of sand. Vacuum or brush the bottom track regularly, wipe the frames with mild soapy water, and have the rollers, hinges and seals checked periodically. Avoid abrasive cleaners on powder-coated surfaces.
Is there a warranty?
Warranty terms for the frames, finish, glass and hardware are stated on each quotation and handover document, because they depend on the system and components supplied. Ask for them before you place an order.
